My book list and welcome back letter to Hogwarts arrived this morning, so Dad took me to pick up my books and supplies today.

I was surprised to find a small badge tucked in with an additional letter enclosed with the rest. Would you believe I’ve been chosen to be the girls' Gryffindor Prefect? I can’t wait to tell Sev the good news.

Mum and Dad are happy for me, even though I had to explain what it means to be Prefect. Still, now that they understand, Mum's made a cake to celebrate. I tried to tell Tuney earlier too, but she only gave me a dirty look before walking off to ring her boyfriend. I wish she would have at least said something...

Have any of the rest of you gotten your letters yet? Please don't let the Gryffindor boys' Prefect be Potter...
