I told Professor Dumbledore what I did now that I'm back at school. The one in my time, I mean. I told him what I did, why I did it and that I would be handing in my Prefect badge. I know acted rashly and childishly, and... I won't be surprised if Potter never wants to speak to me again. I told Professor Dumbledore I don't deserve to be a Prefect anymore because I sunk down to Potter's level, and maybe even a bit further than that. I turned into a bully, like the students I stand up to on the behalf of those who get pushed around, simple as that.

And he made me keep my badge. He told me that it was a human reaction and even the best of wizards have acted on their tempers. It was strange, but before I left he said something about "sadness flying away on the wings of time" and not forcing forgiveness. ...Bit odd, that. I don't see why I would force him to forgive me....

When you see this, can you meet me outside the History of Magic classroom? I have something to talk to you about and it's very important.

It was around that time, yes. But I don't think it's possible that the Ministry was able to convince all the writers of magical history to tell the story just to discredit you. They even had eyewitness accounts from those you imprisoned. Still... if there's one thing the community has proven to me, it's that things can still change and alternate timelines can form.

I don't see it like that. There's a possibility that some Muggles wouldn't understand magic, some might want to abuse it for their own use, while others would be jealous of our abilities and... hold it against us. [Something in her voice turned somber there, before she returns to her normal tone.] Not all Muggles are like that though. My parents know what I am and they still love me and have been very proud and supportive. No Ministry representative has ever come swooping down to wipe their memories.

So you are Muggleborn? I suppose in those cases the families have to know and have to acccept.

For those Muggles that don't they would have to be shown that we will not be so easily murdered or used as the Ministry fears or has been allegedly done in the past. Some Muggles may have to be restrained or taught better until they can accept it.

I am, and I'm proud of it.

But if Muggles are restrained in the name of showing that the magical community means no ill will, isn't that a contradiction?

That would go for any wizards as well. Anyone who tried to destroy the peace.

It would only be done when necessary.

I suppose that makes sense, but you were imprisoning people who did nothing but oppose you. Is that such a crime?

Rebels need to be taught a lesson. Perhaps in prison they could think about the future and how much better it would be with my plans set in place.

Wouldn't it be better if your parents did not have to hide what you are from all their Muggle friends and neighbours as I'm sure they would have to do under the present Ministry, am I correct?
